Meet Little Claire

I recently had a chance to attend a friends baby shower and meet baby Claire ~ Laura (Claire's mother) and I lived together for years in college and I couldn't be more excited for her and Nate ~ We will be doing a baby shoot tomorrow morning so be looking for more pictures of baby Claire!

 

 

 

 

A matter of perspective

So this week I've been going through a lot of my photos and trying to sort them and store them in a way that will make sense to me...I may need to find them one day!! When I was going through my photos to blog the first time around I overlooked this one of a chair in my parents dining room. I decided last night that I really liked the chair so I'm posting it . Also this week Shaun and I are watching my parents dog, Tasha (or Sasha, depending on who you talk to). She really is one o the best dogs in the world, even if she occassionally smells like old dog!!

 

 

JoJo's Shave Ice, Hawaii

Shelcie swears JoJo's has the best shaved ice in all of Hawaii ~ although I've had very limited experince with shaved ice I'd have to say its pretty darn good.

 

 

 

Takenouchi Christmas!

This Christmas I had the blessing and honor to spend it with my new family in Hawaii. I was amazed to be spending the holidays in the sun and with all new traditions. Glen and Karen were so gracious and kind. I ate sushi to my hearts content and enjoyed Christmas eve at Grandma Nora's house in Kapaa. Thank you to the Takenouchi's and I'm looking forward many years of holiday tradition!

Hawaii Road Trip!!

Whats a vacation without a road trip? Shaun and I took an afternoon and hit the road. Our destination..Jo-Jo's Shave Ice. We met up with Glen, Karen, Shelcie and Dane for some 100% pure Hawaii shave ice. Shelcie claims its the best on the entire island.

Poipu Beach

We spent part of Christmas eve at the beach...it was hot and we even got a little sunburned...later that week at that same beach we saw a real live whale. I loved how clear and warm the water was.

This is William, my parents cat. They also have my cat Neeka, who is beautiful but not very photogenic. William on the other had has these intense eyes and is willing to hold still long enough for me to take a picture...hope you enjoy!!

Winter Walk

We had about ten days this last December where it started snowing and didn't stop. I was amazed at the persistence of the winter weather but took the time to go out and enjoy the cold air. I also met some birds who were kind enough to model for me while I was on my winter walk.

2008 Mower Christmas

The Mower Christmas always proves to be a ton of fun ~ this year was no different. We had a couple new members with Shaun and baby Jocelyn. We had our traditional pancake "breakfast" and it snowed the entire afternoon, it was a Christmas to remember!
